Chapter Summary

The contents of this appendix were extracted from the Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea (DOALOS) website. They portray the situation on April 1, 2010. Tabular entries are keyed to the submitting States listed in the second column, in the same order and numbering scheme as in the DOALOS website. The third and fourth columns specify the geographical area(s) pertinent to each submission, and the date of the submissions delivery to the UN Secretary- General. The fifth column lists the third parties, if any, that lodged reactions to the submission; it should be noted that some of these communications are in fact rebuttals lodged by submitting States in responding to prior third-party reactions. Names of parties that withheld their consent for examinations of submissions are shown in italics.
