This book is organized within the general theoretical framework that US-led globalization in imperialism. Its uniqueness, nonetheless, is that it seeks to establish the thesis about EU bloc imperialism a phenomenon that was hitherto overlooked in the current literature, which attempt to provide an understanding of the modus operandi of present-day capitalism, under the rubric of new imperialisms in the twenty-first century. The problematic of the book concerns the development options for the Caribbean entrapped by two imperialisms US-led globalization and European bloc imperialism, the foundation of both of which is neoliberalism. It is an undeniable historical fact that centuries of European trade arrangements with its former colonies that now comprise the ACP regions have had a debilitating effect on those countries. European bloc imperialism at the turn of the twentieth century has certain distinguishing characteristics.
