The texts are taken from the following literary traditions: Coptic, Syriac, Arabic, Ethiopian, Latin, Georgian and Armenian. The introduction for the book is also presented here. The book is regarded primarily as a preliminary search to editing and critically reviewing the literature related to the history of the Dormition and Assumption of Mary. The first part of the book considers the literary traditions of the final fate of Mary. The second part focuses on the topological traditions concerning the final fate of Mary.
