Rights exercised by a possessor over a thing possessed shall be presumed to be lawfully held. Possession shall be transferred to the successor from the commencement of inheritance. A bona fide possessor shall have the right to claim for indemnification from the right possessor of the thing possessed for the expenses to maintain the usefulness and value of the thing. Possession shall extinguish when the possessor loses physical domination of and control over the thing.
