Chapter Summary

This chapter presents an overview on the Esoteric tradition formation as mantic text function. It discusses the Esoteric Tradition and mantic functionality. The chapter briefly discusses the Prophetic Encyclopedia. The philosemitic-Semitism and the Christian Kabala can be equally applied to the basic understanding of the "prisca philosophia" which indeed constituted primarily on the reversion to neo-Platonic and Hermetic sources. The interpenetration of knowledge, the rediscovery of traditions, secret knowledge takes place here quite under the sign of saving acts. Encyclopaedia enrolls in the succession of the Adamic knowledge in a semantic tradition. The brutality and drastic, with which Nostradamus prophesies, find its theoretical justification in the idea of interpreting tradition as a natural selection. Esoteric writing and reading take place on the basis of a concept of tradition. The original text of the chapter is in German.
