Chapter Summary

This chapter presents Document 23, which presents the letter of Islam Giray, the brother of Saadet Giray, the great khan of the Great Horde. Islam Giray highlights that he has taken along all the troops on the order of the khan, his elder brother, in order to raid the state of the King's Muscovian enemy. Islam Giray also expresses that all his beys and loyal servants wish to serve the Majesty. This oath-letter was sent under the signet seal to make sure it meets the great envoys in Kiev.
