Chapter Summary

This front matter section of the book Saints, Sinners, and the God of the World contains the table of contents, acknowledgments and a list of illustrations. The first goal of the book is to complete an accurate transcription of over two hundred pages of colonial handwriting from a sermon notebook of unknown authorship, while its second objective is to provide a thorough analysis of the content of the sermons, to show how they might fit into existing theories of New England Puritan society and theology.
