Chapter Summary

This index presents the list of Babylonian Talmud sources that occur in the book titled The Legal Methodology of Late Nehardean Sages in Sasanian Babylonia. The book consists of a systematic analysis of the halakhic/legal methodology of fourth and fifth century Nehardean amoraim in Babylonia. The systematic study of the methodology of the amoraim understands the development of the talmudic legal system. Perhaps most significantly, this analysis has considerable consequences as to the reliability of the ascription of amoraic statements in the Babylonian Talmud, which has been questioned throughout the history of modern talmudic scholarship.
