The notion of &t;waste&t; is difficult to conceptualise. Then, the study talks about the concept of sustainable development. It focuses on the integrative implications of sustainable development and attempts to provide some guidance on how this concept could be materialised as a tool for addressing and balancing the different interests and priorities that may be at stake in the context of the international waste trade.
