Chapter Summary

This bibliography section presents the list of reference books and articles that occur in the book titled Ancient Angels: Conceptualizing Angeloi in the Roman Empire. The book examines the conceptualization and veneration of angeloi in various non-Christian and non-Jewish contexts from ca. 150 to ca. 450 CE and the reaction of Christian authorities to various conceptions of angeloi and different forms of angelos veneration and invocation. Thus, the present study's approach bears some similarities to that of Franz Cumont's 1915 "Les anges du paganisme" or A. R. R.

Keywords: non-Christian context; non-Jewish context; Roman Empire
