Chapter Summary

This chapter discusses the steadily increasing importance of scholars, in particular the legal experts in the design and legitimacy of social and political orders under the key words "more scientific", "academisation" "Professionalization" and "rationalization". In research, a sharper focus on the substantive right side of the practical legal activity is also required in recent years. The chapter discusses the specific opportunities and problems that contain the legal texts as historical sources in a source-scientific portion to substantially relieve the subsequent chronology of the life cycle of Lodovico Pontano. It presents an overview on the Lodovico Pontano as a historical source. The number of individual case reports of late medieval Jurists (Consilia) obtained legally from the Pontanos is suspected to embellish the relevant underlying case. Consilia Usually deployed binding effect on decision-makers for rationalization and professionalization of the municipal administration and jurisdiction.
