Chapter Summary

The title of this chapter is an outcome of the concept of Klal Yisrael which directed the intentions and initiatives of organizing this conference on European Jewry. The new Jewish world situation can be defined as one that solved the problem of the individual Jew, and raised a question about the Jewish collective entity. This chapter provides answer for the following questions: with the future developments in the European community: for example, will they bring in the long-run a creation of a multi-national and multi-cultural Europe? Then the question concerning the Jews will be: who are they—a religious group or a united ethno-religious-national entity?.
