Chapter Summary

This chapter contains the list of licentiates in theology between 1373 and 1500 and the biographical register on which it is based. Bouvot's Ordo licentiatorum has been used as the primary source, supplemented by the following: the Catalogue des licenci&e;s de la Facult&e; de Th &e;ologie de Paris depuis 1373&h;1774; Chartularium Universitatis Parisiensis; the Register of the Beadle of the Faculty of Theology; and Henri Bernard- Maitre, S.J., &o;Les &o;Th eologastres&o; de l&o;Universite de Paris au temps d&o;Erasme et de Rabelais (1496&h;1536),&o; Biblioth&e;que d&o;humanisme et renaissance (1965). The licentiate dates and merit rankings are very reliable for the period 1423&h;1500 and less sure for the first period 1373&h;1414.
