This book titled Arthur Ruppin and the Production of Pre-Israeli Culture describes and analyzes the emergence of the Modern Hebrew repertoire and social field in the first decades of the twentieth century in Europe and Palestine. By using Arthur Ruppin as an axis for understanding this process, the book explores the extensive transference of models from German culture into the Palestinian-Zionist social field, and exposed the crucial significance of this transference for understanding the history and structure of Modern Hebrew culture.
