Chapter Summary

This index presents the list of ancient authors, Jewish authors and Christian authors that occur in the book titled Reconsidering Eusebius: Collected Papers on Literary, Historical, and Theological Issues. Eusebius of Caesarea is undeniably one of the most important Church Fathers of late antiquity. Works such as the Historia ecclesiastica, the Praeparatio evangelica, his commentaries on Isaiah and on Psalms, the Evangelical Canons, his Constantinian speeches, his Chronicon and many other writings make him a key figure of late antiquity. Had he written only one of these works, he would still be an essential author for the understanding of Christian history, theology, and literature.
