Chapter Summary

This index contains a list of terms that occur in this book Les traductions françaises du De regimine principum de Gilles de Rome Parcours matériel, culturel et intellectuel d'un discours sur l'éducation. This book deals with the different translations into Old French of Giles of Rome's De Regimine Principum, dedicated to Philippe le Bel around 1279, and their readership. This study is also in the wake of the sociology of receipt to the extent that it follows a current trend to consider "receptors", players and owners in the case of this study, as players receiving. It traces the history of the French translations of the Treaty of Giles of Rome from the time of the first translation at the end of the thirteenth century and the last at the end of the fifteenth century. The original text of the chapter is in French.
