Chapter Summary

Having dealt with religion, the present chapter speaks a little concerning Holy Scripture in general and indicates in particular what is really God's word and of what power, might and truth it is. The holy book, or the holy books, or Holy Scripture, or Holy Scriptures (one may so call them to distinguish them from other books) are in general some Hebrew and Greek writings or books, which in Greek are called biblia, that is, books, and in bastard Greek bible, that is, book. The words biblia and bible, however, just mean books or book in general, regardless of what kind of book it is, divine or worldly, good or bad, so that my Dutch naming is better since it actually makes the distinction.
