Chapter Summary

This chapter deals with the Mandaean astrology, Sfar Malwašia (= SM). It presents a series of letters written by Lady Ethel Stefana Drower. The first letter is dated February 21, 1938, which Drower writes to Cyrus Gordon in the United States. Drower and Gordon have already begun their correspondence on the SM, with Gordon supplying answers to Drower's many queries about her translation of the Mandaean text. The money matters regarding SM remains bothersome to Drower, as seen in a letter to E. Keeling, April 6, 1952. This is the last of the letters concerning SM.
