Chapter Summary

This chapter talks about the case between the Prosecutor and Alex Tamba Brima, Brima Bazzy Kamara and Santigie Kanu presented at the Appeals Chamber of the Special Court for Sierra Leone for the order on the appointment of AMICUS CURIAE. Considering that there is a real reason to believe that an amicus curiae brief by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights providing material that is not already before the Appeals Chamber will assist it in reaching its decision on the issues raised by the present Appeal. Hereby appoints the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights as amicus curiae, and Orders the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights to file a written brief no later than 16 December 2005 with any responses by the Parties to be filed within two weeks thereafter.
