Chapter Summary

This chapter discusses the relevant provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia from 5 July 1995, as amended up to 27 November 2005. It then discusses its human rights related legislation and penal code provisions. It also discusses the protection of minorities, which includes the law on language from 1993, as amended up to 2011. Finally the chapter describes the equality bodies/ombudsman of Armenia, which includes the law on the human rights defender of 2004, as amended up to 2010.
