Chapter Summary

Estonia has been a member of the Council of Europe since 1993, and of the European Union since 2004. This chapter commences with the constitutional provisions, the relevant provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Estonia of 3 July 1992, as amended up to 21 July 2007. Next, the chapter presents Human Rights Related Legislation, which includes Advertising Act of 2008 and Included in PENAL CODE PROVISIONS is Penal Code of 2002, as Amended up to 2008. Wages Act of 1994, as Amended up to 2003, Employment Service Act of 2000, as Amended up to 2004, and Equal Treatment Act of 2009 have been included in NON-DISCRIMINATION. Finally, PROTECTION OF MINORITIES Cultural Autonomy For National Minorities Law of 1993, as Amended up to 2002 have been presented.
