Slovenia has been a member of the Council of Europe since 1993, and of the European Union since 2007 This chapter commences with the constitutional provisions, the relevant provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Slovenia of 23 December 1990, as amended up to 2006. Next the chapter talks about Penal Code Provisions which includes Criminal Code of 2008. Included in Non-Discrimination is the Employment Relationship Act of 2002, as Amended up to 2007 and Act Implementing the Principle of Equal Treatment of 2004. Next the chapter talks about Protection Of Minorities which includes Act on Public Usage of Slovenian Language of 2004. Then the chapter talks about Labour Code of 1997, as Amended up to 2007 which is included in non discrimination. Finally this chapter talks about Equality Bodies / Ombudsman which includes Human Rights Ombudsman Law 1993.
