Chapter Summary

This bibliography contains a list of reference materials relevant to the discussion on empirical labour-history in this book Beyond Marx: Theorising the Global Labour Relations of the Twenty-First Century. The contributions to the book revolve around two closely-related key themes: empirical labour-history and its theoretical conceptualisation. In Part I, historical perspectives are dominant. Peter Linebaugh, Marcus Rediker, Niklas Frykman and Peter Way present their findings on the global multiverse of proletarians during the pre-industrial eighteenth century. The contributions to Part II are arranged based on the extent to which they refer critically to Marx's labour-theory of value.

Keywords: empirical labour-history; Marx
