This bibliography presents a list of artist names relevant to the discussion of Katei's paintings continued to borrow from Chinese models during the years after his return to Edo. Prompted by the social upheaval occasioned by the Meiji Restoration, he found new patrons outside Tokyo, among industrialists and entrepreneurs, particularly in Noda, Kazusa Province.
