Chapter Summary

This bibliography of the book Regime Change and Ethnic Politics in Indonesia: Dayak Politics of West Kalimantan contains a list of reference books and material. During the colonial era, most Dayaks lived under the nominal rule of the Malay sultanates and occupied a subordinate place in the political and social hierarchy. The book examines the course of Dayak politics in West Kalimantan from the 1940s to the early 2000s. It argues that the politics of the Dayaks of West Kalimantan has always been constrained by the nature of the national regime. Dayak politics has been entwined with those of other ethnic communities, particularly the Malays.

Keywords: Dayak politics; ethnic communities; Malays; West Kalimantan
