Chapter Summary

This chapter presents a list of personal names, place names, and ancient texts relevant to the study of Ignatius of Antiokheia and the Music of the Spheres. Ignatius composed the letters while en route to what he hoped would be an honorable death in Rome. From Smyrna, on the central Western coast of Asia Minor, Ignatius sent letters to Ephesos, Magnesia, Tralles and Rome. Ignatius portrays his physical journey "from Syria to Rome".
