Chapter Summary

Phrasal enclitics are bound morphemes with phrasal scope that occur after the last element of a phrase. This is irrespective of whether the last element of that phrase is the head or not. There are 4 echelons of enclitics. The enclitics in each Echelon belong to a different functional type. The order of the morphemes presented in a Table is a preferred order rather than an absolute one. This chapter deals with the referent specifying ones from echelon1. A table gives the overview of phrasal enclitics. The second section discusses the possessive enclitic. The reciprocal enclitic is explained in the third section. Plural eclitic is handled in the fourth section while the fifth section discusses the exclusive enclitic. The sixth section explains the private enclitics. The enclitic is provided in the seventh section. The associate enclitic is discussed in the eighth section while the ninth section explains the alternative enclitic.
