Chapter Summary

This chapter focuses primarily on the objectives of affirmation and promotion of the values ​​and interests of the European Union, the contribution of the latter to the protection of its citizens as well as free trade and fair trade. It sheds light on the two main themes, which can be presented as: loyalty of trade, defense of the interests of member states internally and fair trading, advocacy means EU internationally. The trade loyalty requirement, mainly developed internally in the European construction in particular regarding the free movement of goods and services is an important externally in the trade as the European Union develops international relations with third countries. Fair trading in the external relations of the European Union is mainly manifested in the context of the common commercial policy. The original text of the chapter is in French.
