Chapter Summary

This index presents a list of biblical references of Old Testament (OT) and Deuterocanonical Books/Apocrypha relevant to the discussion of the actual controversy between Tyndale and Joye. Tyndale's translational strategy in his New Testament (NT) editions is presented. The earliest traces of the controversy preserved only in manuscript form (Joye's letter to Hugh Latimer under the name of John Coke, intercepted by a spy of Cromwell) are discussed.

Keywords: George Joye; New Testament (NT) editions; Old Testament (OT); Tyndale's translational strategy; William Tyndale
