Chapter Summary

The conclusion chapter of the book analyzes the vocabulary used in the Qurʾān to express what the Qurʾān is performed on two levels: the study of terms used to indicate the Qurʾān object as a text, and the study of terms used to indicate the Qurʾān object as a phenomenon. The analysis of the vocabulary allowed us to make two conclusions that are verified and confirmed by analysis of object. First, the used vocabulary directs the self-reference to the designation of Qurʾān as an object related to Jewish and Christian religions. Second, the use of number of terms shows the willingness to emphasize communicative dimension of Qurʾān. The use of positive vocabulary incites the listeners to answer the purpose attributed to the action of the Qurʾān by desired implicit behaviour. The original text of the chapter is in French.

Keywords: communicative dimension; phenomenon; positive vocabulary; Qurʾān object; self-reference; text
