Chapter Summary

This front matter section of the book Asian Tigers, African Lions: Comparing the Development Performance of Southeast Asia and Africa contains the table of contents and a list of figures and tables. The book talks about the "Tracking Development' research project", funded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and coordinated by the African Studies Centre and KITLV, both in Leiden, in collaboration with scholars based in Africa and Asia. The project set-up was innovative: both African and Asian researchers were included to conduct research that was strictly comparative: what was researched in Southeast Asia was also researched in Africa, and the other way round.
