This appendix presents a list of honorary members, presidents and secretary/directors of KILTV relevant to the discussion of an understandable approach considering the extensive literature on Dutch colonialism and the orientation of early anthropology towards actual practice. The most practically oriented discipline, geography, was not only the first to be discarded by the KITLV but also the discipline successfully placed within the context of European imperialism from a comparative perspective.
