Chapter Summary

This section presents a synopsis of taxonomic changes relevant to the identification of any butterfly or moth species from any part of the globe. Some of the species are Hiradonta gnoma, Peridea aperta and Neodrymonia hirta. Hiradonta gnoma is smaller than the other congeners, with longer pectinations of the male antennae. The male genitalia are variable in the valves, socii and phallus. They resemble angustipennis, but differ in the shallowly bilobed 8th abdominal segments.

Keywords: Hiradonta gnoma; Neodrymonia hirta; Peridea aperta
