Chapter Summary

The praise of the Lord rises more from man than from any other creature in that man perfects which was imposed on him by the work of Heaven. For man always needs to light his lamp, bringing his potentiality out into the light of actuality. Very Wonderful, thereby, was the work of the Creator at the beginning. In this the might of His power, wisdom, goodness, and loving kindness is known by a knowledge more revealed and visible in man than in all other creatures. For, even one attains the level of the human form, [God] does not veer from His love of man and adds the power of His might to raise man to become a perfect body through His statutes and the judgments of His mouth. Man's glory is only great among the sublime and excellent existing things in the heaven, and the heaven of heavens.
