Chapter Summary

This index of the book The Greek Article: A Functional Grammar of ὁ-items in the Greek New Testament with Special Emphasis on the Greek Article presents a list of terms and concepts relevant to the study of Greek article that is employed in a wide variety of structures. The book examines how both relative clauses and articular participial clauses are used interchangeably to perform similar functions. While clauses may perform a variety of functions, one of the functions of a relative clause is that of expansion. In expansion, "The secondary clause expands the primary clause, by (a) elaborating it, (b) extending it or (c) enhancing it".
