Chapter Summary

This chapter presents texts, contents, transition markers, verbal repetitions in strophic perspective, quantitative structural aspects, various divisions and comments, and summary of Psalter 90-106 in Fourth Book of the Psalter. Investigations of Psalm 90 have taken the study of its macrostructure very seriously. Moreover, at this point in time there seems to be some consensus within certain circles of exegetes that on the macrostructural level the poem predominantly shows a concentric design. Psalm 90 in the German speaking world are especially influenced by the studies of Contra Schreiner (1978) and Auffret (1980).
