Chapter Summary

The appendix of the book Terres cuites et culte domestique: Bestiaire de l'Égypte gréco-romaine, contains a summary table on the workshops. The table presents four criteria of workshops at different places: remains of the workshop itself, discovery of molds, significant number of figurines, and statuettes made from molds discovered at the site, a series of figurines. In this book, Celine Boutantin provides a synthesis of the production workshop figurines and studies personal beliefs and practices in Greco-Roman Egypt. The book includes a study considering the archaeological contexts to propose a synthesis of production workshops and to show, in some cases, the adaptation of the production of local cults. The original text of the chapter is in French.
