Chapter Summary

This chapter of the book The Moths and Butterflies of Great Britain and Ireland presents a list of reference books and articles. Tortricidae are a distinctive monophyletic family of just over 9000 described species of which 396 species have been recorded in the British Isles, although 10 of these are not resident. The book talks about the arrangement of genera that most widely adopted in Europe. The order of species within the genera largely follows Bradley, so that the log-book numbers used in distribution recording in the British Isles retain some meaning.
