This bibliography of the book The Religious and Spiritual Life of the Jews of Medina presents a list of reference works and essays relevant to the discussion on the leaders of the Jewish Tribes of Medina. Abd al-Malik b. Hishām (d. 833 CE) records a list of the Medinan Jewish leaders of every Jewish tribe in Medina. Many of these leaders are reported to have been killed during the Muslim-Jewish conflicts in Medina and Khaybar. According to Islamic tradition, Huyayy b. Akhtab was the most hostile opponent of Muhammad.
