Chapter Summary

This index of the book From Plight to Solution: A Jewish Framework for Understanding Paul's View of the Law in Galatians and Romans presents a list of authors who have contributed to this book. The list is arranged in alphabetical order from A to Z. The book re-examines the possibility that Paul's view of the law owes its origin to an eschatological pattern common within some expressions of Judaism at the time he wrote. This re-examination of Paul in light of his Jewish heritage will show that he neither distorts Jewish soteriology nor provides evidence that first century Judaism was generally a meritorious religion, but that he applies to Christ's death and the coming of the Spirit a common concept within ancient Judaism.

Keywords: Christ's death; Galatians; Judaism; Paul's view of the law; Romans
