Chapter Summary

Biblical theology is to understand a theology that is oriented to the whole Scripture Old and New Testaments. Wisdom allows the Johannine community, to learn to understand the Christ (1) in his relation to God (VI-2), (2) in relation to his creation (V.3-5) and (3) in its relation to the People (V.9-12). The symbolism of light is reminiscent again of the wisdom theology. The Light of the vitality are one hand orientation as long as it illuminates the world and the human condition, and it gives insight into to the dignity of existence, unless it turns this into the light of God's creativity. The wisdom stands for the wonderful order of life, the meaning of which is evident and suggests a creator who created it. The original context of the chapter is in German.
