Chapter Summary

This bibliography presents a list of reference books, articles, and other works that have been cited for the book Paul and Philodemus: Adaptability in Epicurean and Early Christian Psychagogy. The works are arranged under two headings: Texts and Translations, and Other Works. The author wrote this book with two objectives in mind. Firstly, he wants to make available to the scholarly community a discussion of Philodemus' De libertate dicendi, which has not been treated extensively in a book before. Secondly, he wants to underscore the Greco-Roman context in which the apostle Paul operated and compare and contrast his activities with those of his contemporaries and thereby broaden our horizon when viewing Paul.

Keywords: Epicurean psychagogy; Paul; Philodemus' De libertate dicendi
