Chapter Summary

This appendix contains a text titled "Soneto enpoemado" in a cursive letter written by Erasmus to Thomas More. His lettering is hardly readable and the text is most probably a simple test of the calamus before he started a new manuscript. The manuscript of the Moria de Erasmo Roterodamo is regarded here as an imperfect copy of a previous sixteenth-century translation, a task which was apparently executed by a Portuguese scribe at some point during the mid-seventeenth century.

Keywords: Erasmus; Soneto enpoemado; Thomas More
