This index presents a list of terms and concepts relevant to the discussion of the commentaries of Pahlavi Widēwdād, which is understood to be the oldest known Middle Persian translation of an Avestan text and therefore provides the best approach to the exegetical tradition of the Avesta in Sasanian times. Widēwdād is also the oldest known text of the Book Pahlavi tradition and a source for many of the later Zoroastrian texts.
