Chapter Summary

This section presents a list of cases. The cases include: committee against torture, domestic case law, European commission of human rights, European court of human rights, human rights committee, international court of justice and permanent court of international justice. The book is a slightly revised version of the author doctoral dissertation accepted by the faculty of law of the University of Basel, Switzerland, in March 2013. The work reflects doctrine and case law as it stood as of January 2013. Human rights law is no longer considered to be the only source of individual rights in international law. International law norms other than human rights have been recognized as conferring individual rights, sometimes referred to as "ordinary" international individual rights.

Keywords: European Commission; human rights; international court of justice; international law
