Chapter Summary

Three parties have jointly promoted the building of the parents committee in primary and middle schools in Shandong Province since the end of 2009. Three major forces (Shandong Provincial Department of Education, Qindao Publishing Group, Beijing Enrich the Family Center) have been involved in the advancing of the parents committee in primary and middle schools in Shandong province over the past three years. The three-party collaboration agreement announced the establishment of the management and research project team on the development of parents committee in primary and middle school in Shandong province. One should encourage parents to involve in the development of parents committee through establishing rules and regulations and democratic election. Parents committee representatives' involvement in selecting and appointing a headmaster is a substantive representation of parents' right to engage in school operations.
