Chapter Summary

At present, twenty-seven shelves - fully or partially published, demonstrates the appearance of a prophetic phenomenon, that is, the transmission of a divine oracle from the mouth of a human intermediary, the latter figure being messenger of god. All these documents retain administrative correspondence, its highest level, from the governors of cities where the prophetic phenomenon emerged. Of these twenty-seven prophetic character tablets known at present, the chapter considers only those oracles, relating to the foreign policy of the kingdom, mention of hostile relations that oppose the ruler of Mari, assisted by his tutelary deities, to some of the neighboring kings. The original context of the chapter is in French.
