Chapter Summary

The biblical story has shown the type of mantic practices in the likeness of Joseph. As the Egyptian ways at interpreting dreams fail of Pharaoh, Joseph takes its place. If as a mantic Weiser Daniel delivers the pseudonym of the oldest apocalypse, as corresponds to the reverse the fact that apparently lacking under the apocalyptic pseudonym the name of Solomon, which make use of the works of contemporary education wisdom. The context of mantic wisdom and apocalyptic therefore supplies a motive for the interpretation of apocalyptic pseudonymity. Other features of the apocalyptic stand with issues and ideas of Graeco-Oriental syncretism totally related, but not specifically mantic with a reawakening of wisdom.
