Chapter Summary

This section contains a list of biblical references that occur in the book Studies in the Pentateuch. The book contains essays on the Elohistic depiction of Aaron; the wilderness itineraries and recent archaeological research; and the dietary laws of the Pentateuch. Substantial contributions are made to the study of different parts of the Pentateuch. Relations between the Israelites and the Arameans in the monarchic period were anything but peaceful. David was confronted with the expansive policy of Hadadezer, king of Aram-Zobah, which naturally clashed with his own efforts to expand his empire.
