Chapter Summary

This chapter discusses Genesis:34 and analyses it. This passage in the Hebrew Bible is attempted to discover the confluence of two traditions: one which is concerned with family affairs, and one whose object forms the basis of phylogenetic events.  And from the alleged confluence of these two traditions is to finally have originated our story. This however should be an outward doubt that the presence of Simeon and Levi must belong to the original stock as main characters, and they are the biological brothers Dinas, while the others are only half-brothers. The contractor Simeon and Lewis has often been regarded as separate from the context of the patriarchal narratives tradition. The original text of the chapter is in French.
